We are thrilled to announce that The Real Food Cafe has been named one of the Top 3 finalists in the Digital Marketing category at the National Fish & Chip Awards 2025!

We are immensely proud to announce that we won the prestigious TGO Magazine The Great Outdoors Awards' in the Best Walkers Café category for the third consecutive time.

 

Our Cafe has been shortlisted for a Visit Scotland Regional Thistle Award 2023 in the 'Celebrating Thriving Communities' category, how exciting!

We're excited to announce that we're running a Devil of the Highlands charity raffle to celebrate the 19th season of the Devil o' the Highlands Footrace on 12th August. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Toilet Twinning.

The popular Killin Highland Games return on Wednesday 2 August 2023 and once again, The Real Food Cafe is delighted to sponsor the Hill Race discipline of the games. Competitors can look forward to snacks and meal vouchers donated by the Cafe and thoughtful prizes including two awards dedicated to the late Herbie McLean, a dedicated hill runner and a cherished member of the community. 

Vladislava, Andrei and Angel recently celebrated their 5-year anniversaries with The Real Food Cafe. This milestone is a testament to their commitment, passion for their work and appetite for continuous development. We couldn't be prouder of them.

Our top team members attended the National Federation of Fish Friers' 'University of Fish & Chips' at the Federation's headquarters in Leeds to learn new skills.

The entries for the 2024 edition of the National Fish & Chip Awards by the National Federation of Fish Friers are open. The Real Food Cafe founder & director, Sarah, was invited by the Federation and drove 648 mile round trip just to to be at the launch.

For sausage roll fans, The Great Sausage Roll Off is the greatest culinary competition of the year. And for Sarah, our owner and director, an exciting challenge she couldn't let slip by. As the only contestant from Scotland and she was determined to showcase some of the wonderful produce the Scottish larder has to offer. Read about Sarah's amazing experience. 

Our Cafe received an early Christmas present when the Great Outdoors Magazine announced the winners of their 2022 The Great Outdoors Reader Awards. We were thrilled to learn that our Tyndrum Cafe won the Walkers' Cafe/Restaurant of the Year category!

 

The Real Food Cafe is in the Top 3 UK chip shops running for the National Fish and Chip Awards 2023 ‘Field to Frier’ award. We are the only Scottish chip shop to get into the final 3 which means we can proudly say that our chips are the best in Scotland.
